    Casper & Outono - 2x 1998 Discovery 1 Builds

Did you end up determining the cause of your driver floorboard water leaks? I had a similar issue the following two items were the cause: -sunroof drain crack -old/failed seam sealer between wing and A pillar (hidden behind front fender) May be worth adding to the list!

    Casper & Outono - 2x 1998 Discovery 1 Builds

Do you have fuel spill when filling the tank to full at the gas station? There's a vent hose that likes to fail which was giving me a ton of fumes, especially at low-speed

The value over 8000 is a known error message for anyone running OBD2 scanners on these trucks. Set your reader to ignore it so it doesn't bother you. Have you checked your STFT and LTFT values via that reader? Sounds like youre running extremely rich, could have an unmetered air leak which the...

    2005 Jeep LJ Rubicon

Ah shoot too bad it is an auto. Still a great looking truck, although the RRC in the background is my favorite.

    Disco isn't dead... not yet.

I tried buying the EXACT same truck as yours (now the parts truck) before this one. Still haven't added that little adventure to the thread. Can't decide if all of these trucks were completely trashed by their owners or just poorly made. It can't possibly be the second one though! haha

Thanks for the input, this is exactly the kind of stuff I hope to gain from the members here! The build thread is about 6 months behind real life and your comment was exactly the consensus I came to based on my own research several months ago. I have a plan to confirm and potentially repair...

    D1 rescue for my daughter

I have 235/85r16 K02s on my D1 with a 2" lift and it'll still rub at full lock and full compression in the rear. No way it will fit stock/on old worn coils. I also did the rotoflex to u-joint conversion, no noticeable improvements in driveline vibrations. Having been through the swap I would...

Dang well glad you got it sorted. And if you ever decide to part it out let me know. But here's hoping you drive it forever. Not enough of these D1's on the road.

Was the truck too far gone originally? I had one that I learned the hard way on as well... That'll be part of the thread later.

You should start a build thread of your own. Would definitely like to see more of it.

Thanks for the comment! Still a lot more upgrades to get through (all this is several months behind). Do you have any pictures of your truck? Based on your signature it is very similar to where I want to take this eventually. A SD would have been nice, these sunroofs have to be the worst drain...

At this point I decided to take the truck around the block and put some gas into it. I pull up, open the fuel filler door and am greeted with this. Definitely not ideal, the fuel filler neck is just wobbling around due to this gasket being completely gone. I proceed with filling the tank, I...
