Suitability of a 4-door JK jeep

G'day folks, I managed to convince my Mrs that rather than sell my 2-seater ex-army Land Rover Perentie it would be best if she sold her Subaru XV hatchback and bought a 4x4 we could fit a baby seat into and use not only as a daily driver for her, but for family road trips and off-road trips...

Australian Military No. 5 Trailer - a work in progress

This is the first post in a series chronicling the transition from beatup old army trailer to offroad adventure trailer. Here's a picture of the trailer behind one of my two Land Rover 110 Perenties We'll use that as the "before" picture. My mods are mostly reversible since I am a member of a...

    235/85/16? Let's see them

My Perentie RFSV is currently fitted with 235/85/R16 Cooper Discoverers - run with tubes due to the nature of the army split rims. They are a good substitute for the 7.50 -16 Goodyear Hi-Miler Xtra-Grip tyres these vehicles came with as standard, and aren't as noisy on the road.

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

A few from recent trips with the modified 110 Perentie FFR I ditched the BFG muds, which were nearing the end of their life and replaced them with a full set (7) of ADF split rims running Goodyear Hi-Miler tyres. I still have a fair way to go until the vehicle is where I want it to be...

Isuzu 4DB1 powered 110 Perentie FFR (Fitted For Radio) model (with PTO winch). I'm making some rapid progress getting it sorted out for a big trip later in the year. It has a few mods - Defender hard roof panel, roof rack, 33" BFGs, rear disc brakes, snorkel, power steering, heavy duty...
