About the only parts we had trouble with, were the nylon slides. Had them machined from my brothers brother inlaw. Everything else was pretty simple to find at Home Depot or amazon for standard RV parts. I know they made 10' Siestas but have never seen another one besides mine and my brothers...

Its sad how many dishonest people there are in the world. Looking back I'm glad we took it and went as far into the project as we did. While much more money and more work then we ever could have imaged, it forced us into going much further and will have a much nicer camper in the end. And...

Thanks, its been a blast to do a project like this with my brother. We live 400 miles away and this has been a great to keep us working on things like we used to 20 years ago. With all of the work we have done, we hope to get 20 years out of this camper before it needs another overhaul.

Making some real progress. Hope to be able to get it mounted to the truck this weekend. Trim is done, solar is done and new Fantastic fan is mounted. The new fridge I had seems to be dead on arrival. So that will likely have to be replaced at this point. int.

Want to buy Fridge-Open to 3 way or compressor

Hi All, Looking to buy a fridge for my camper restoration project. Fridge needs to be able to fit in a space that is 29 tall and 21 wide. It has plumbing for propane and I have full solar and batteries to support a compressor fridge. I am located in Las Vegas, NV. Can travel a bit to pick up...

So I want to build a truck camper

Have you considered a shell perhaps? All terrain campers will get you a shell with all the hard stuff figured out and you get to build the insides out. Best of both worlds. I think a shell would be under 10k. Or find an old Alaskan and refurb it. I know of a few around listed in the 1-2k range...

Restoring a 1968 siesta hard side pop up camper

Some days it seems like we should have left it in the junk yard. But there are so few left and it was the same model I grew up camping in. So we had to save it in the end. Did it make financial sense? no, but most fun things in life rarely do. Nope not a fan of SC, just like the colors. Its...

    1978 Blazer FWC

Looks like a blast! Always nice dealing with a seller that is up front with you. I look forward to seeing your work on the camper and blazer. I've had a couple FWC grandby's and really enjoyed them. Lots of fun to upgrade them and make them your own.
