Total Composites Slide In Camper Kits

Seems to me you could probably cut the height down by about 4" and still use the full size doors. I definitely don't need 84" of interior height. I think 78" would be plenty. Also, check out Pronghorn Expedition Vehicles. They seem to use white caps on all their builds and I think they look a...

    Flatbed campers by TotalComposites

Are those trusses required for the longer cabover on the flatbeds? I notice some of them have them and some of them don't.

The TARDIS - A Four Wheel Camper Build

I think the RV guy I spoke with said that the Canadian Highway Safety act requires 3/16 galvanized, so if there was an explosion or fire, that would probably help prevent it from spreading into the camper. I can't see why the hatches used to install the turnbuckles could not also be used as...

The TARDIS - A Four Wheel Camper Build

Well there are no real mountains anywhere near Ontario, so I'm not so worried about the altitude factor, but the carbon monoxide is definitely an area of concern, and waking up dead, well, no one really wants that. I guess a carbon monoxide detector is a must with any sort of propane furnace...

The TARDIS - A Four Wheel Camper Build

Hey Camper101, I read your original post over on Wander the West. I've been following it closely to see what the consensus was. I've looked at propane lockers designed for boats but man, they are expensive. Seems like a bit of a ripoff, especially for something you could make yourself (well, I...

The TARDIS - A Four Wheel Camper Build

Hey Overland, This thread has been more than just "of use"... It's basically the reason I ended up with a shell model (that and the fact that it was the only thing I could find in my time zone, just a few hours away). Here's a couple pics of how it looked when we got it, and how it sits now...

The TARDIS - A Four Wheel Camper Build

Agreed! Specifically, the interior. Haha hey one other question for you. Did you end up going with Amtico flooring? If so, which kind? I'm looking on the Centura website (Canadian), and it looks like there's three different levels of flooring available, assuming I go with the hardwood look...

The TARDIS - A Four Wheel Camper Build

Really eh? So maybe just go with two tan Scepter jugs and an old school black shower bag. They fold down nice and flat when not in use, they don't take up much room, and if you really wanted to, you could always heat up a couple pots of water and add that to the Scepter jug on not so sunny days...

The TARDIS - A Four Wheel Camper Build

Hey Overland, I'm new here, but just wanted to drop you a quick line to say what an inspiration your build has been for me. We recently purchased a Grandby shell to ride on the back of our 91 Dodge W250 and are currently in the process of building out the interior. I've taken lots of ideas...
