I too have been shopping frontiers, as well as 4runners and tacomas. The frontier is a hard bargain not to buy. My area (indiana) seems to be flooded with off lease 1-2yr old frontiers.
Haven't posted in a bit, and don't have any progress pics.
I have caught up on general maintenance.
Replaced front rotors and pads.
Fixed rear trailing arms that were "clunking"
So now I can start working on "fun" mods.. Lift/wheels/tires are next!
Roof rack is installed. I will try to get a loaded pic as well over the weekend.
Thule and Yakima stuff can be expensive.. I have been able to find most of it over time on Craigslist etc.
A it Sits I put 2 bike trays on and the Thule box. Also have the 2 bike hitch rack as well.
Most of this pathfinders Duty will be used as the main source of transportation to race and cycling events.. So next purchase was YAKIMA rail grab kit to make the rack I have had for many years work with the nissan factory rack.. Should be wider and stronger than the nissan bars. Width is needed...
Haven't made too much progression on the pathfinder yet... But I did tint the front windows to match the rear.. Kinda hard to tell in the pic. Not really a overland mod.
Hopefully next up will be a full brake job, lift install wheels and tires.
I just need some better weather here in indiana.
Well, after a week of trying to track down the "clunk" noise in my truck.. I took it to the local nissan dealer I bought it from. I had been in contact with my sales person since I brought it home about the issue. Being that it is a older truck that that I purchased "as-is" I didn't expect them...
I got the lift from 4x4design.com. Trying to order parts as $ allows... And hopefully find time to install them. Weather here (indiana) stinks, and I only have a small 1 car garage... Down fall of living in the city.
Ordered 2" all around. With the rear lift already on the truck I won't use...
Well, I am back. I started a build on my old qx4 last summer, and welt didn't go anywhere. I ended up selling to a friend who needed and really wanted it, so I let it go. In the mean time I picked up a 01 4runner, which had been driven a little harder than I had liked. I played with it for a...
