Got a bit more done. Just a bit more wiring to come though the mail. And I’ll be finished with this part. Then it’s undercarriage cleaning. And transmission and case fluids and axles.

Alright took my first trip up to American Fork with this thing last weekend. Had a good time. Even though I didn't have working lockers and 35" tall tires, I made it up this trail pretty far. We did have to winch a lot at the top because we got high centered. But the truck did pretty well.

I wouldn't say that. But I'm having fun, and that's what's important.

I will definitely own a 110 or 130 turbo diesel defender in my future. But for now, this is a fun truck. I just hate working on the engine. No room for my fat hands.

I've been wanting go on this trail for a couple years. Last time I tried my Disco had a coolant hose crack and we decided to be safe and head back home. Forest Lake Trail in American Fork Canyon is a lot of fun, with some good obstacles.

Kane Creek was not an easy trail and I was not prepared for the obstacles on it. Nevertheless, we had a blast....Part 1 see if we make it through unscathed in Part 2. Coming soon. Don't try this on 32" tires, you will get some body damage. I'd say 35" tall tires and lockers are a minimum. Too bad I was on 32" tires.

Finally got done with Part 2 of Kanes Creek. We Finally Escape the trail at 10:30pm that night. 5 1/2 hours to go the distance on this one! Fun yet terrifying.

Last weekend I was able to knock out fixing up the body work and finally got the Land Bruiser looking respectable. I mean it is a Toyota, so as good as it can be. LOL. At least it doesn't look like it just returned from war anymore.

This is what I’ve been up to this week.

Rebuilt the front axle. New CV shafts. Upgraded to 30 spline outers. What a mess. Took me 12 hours in total because everything was such A mess. Almost used a full box of 200 shop rags.

also replaced all the tie rod ends. Steering is nice and tight now. Feels great.

Eli and I went up Saturday to play with the Land Cruiser and to test out its new shoes. Old Ward Canyon is a great quick trip with some fun obstacles.

Well, that was gross, and it took way too long. Luckily my business partner and I installed a lift at the shop. And I was able to do this nasty job a bit faster on the lift. #importmotorwerx
