Aaaaah. Nice batteries. BassBoats supplied the powdercoated battery mounts. Either for group 27 or 31. These are 8 AGM Vmax Xtr. 135 amp hours each.

Why the madness. To run the 12 volt ac unit at night. Without shore power over night. Downside is. 400 watts of solar is all that will fit on the roof. Unless I stopped by aluminess for a custom oversized rack!! $$ there is really not enough room for more solar. If a rack was made. It would stick out both sides and look like a carrier deck. And be super $$.

Just for education purposes... with AGM's :
that is 135amph x 8 "x70%" = 756 total amph at worse?

AGM are said to be able to run them down to 80% discharge without damage.... thus in formula to right backed that to 70% cause max discharge lowers over time.

Screen shot of Vmax website about their AGMs. Still looks like DOD is the major life expectancy. I have them in the rig to moderate the temperatures they are exposed to. I hope its safe and works well long term. Lithium is bank$

Best and safest place I could think for the pos and neg feed bus bars.

Hot and cold shower. Right inside on the side barn doors

Remounted the drip guard above the side door behind the drivers door. Stainless steel screws and Dicor black non sag. The aluminum trim was painted black with bed liner and butyl tape behind it to secure the seal.

Had to cut the handle off part of the fancy faucet. The lever was too long for the space. And would hit the existing upper ledge. It was a total pain to install the faucet too. This whole project is like building a ship in a bottle...

All batteries wired up. Safely. Blue Sea 187 Series circuit breakers also are on/off switches. And can be mounted in any orientation and are ignition friendly. $84 each. But needed. Basically two banks of 4 Group 31 AGMs. 1080 house amp hours total.

Iota Battery Chargers had the schematics for a totally balanced system. Where each battery gets used all the same amount. Hence the wiring setup. Two banks of 4 batteries.

great build! That's serious amount of batteries! Faced with a similar decision I went Lithium cells ordered from China. Was less than some AGM options. Only time will tell how durable they are though.
