KickAss Portable 12v Compressor Fridge Freezers for Camping

New fridge on the market, this was in my YouTube feed over the weekend from a channel I subscribe too.
They make a lot of stuff under the KickAss brand such as solar panels, camping lights, and dual battery kits that you do not have to put under the hood.

This fridge however is 220v or 12v, but it comes with a Wi-Fi connection so you can control it with a smart phone.

I like how they use the Anderson plugs too, something they use on a lot of their products, and I recently have gotten into them too with the Renogy solar panel setup I am working with to keep my second battery topped off since it runs my new National Luna Weekender 50 fridge/freezer combo.

Those look really nice. Now, all they need to do is make a line for the US, with 12v & 120v. I think they would sell a lot of them. I could have bought one of them instead of the 2 ARB's.

First of all, the food sealer is a great idea for people that travel a lot.

Questions... For when it matters, I'm curious about the power draw from using WiFi? And also from the LED lights? Usually, when it's dark I'm around a campfire or in bed over cooking. Like my box trailer has interior lights and I never use them.

As far as the outside of the fridge and fridges in general, white obviously reflects more light, but then 'Kickass' provides black bag? I've looked at the Snomaster 42, which is sold in both a gray and shiny stainless steel, and with a gray storage bag. How much does the outside color and the storage bag matter?

Looks, essentially, like a rebadged SnoMaster minus 110v.

I think I noticed on the video that it had 100-240 as the AC input. Even though the demo dude did say it was 240 he was preaching to an Australian choir. Having 100-240 would interest me for traveling outside the USA or North America.

That looks like a seriously clunky DC connection. I'm not sure why you would use a 75amp Anderson connection for a 50 watt compressor.. Clever concept, not a peep about power consumption.

Yes, here in Australia, every portable fridge that I have seen is 110-240v AC input.
Great concept, pity more electrical gear is not made that way.
Cheers

Hi it's Klaeton I am the owner of Australian Direct and the Founder of KickAss products. My fridges are not rebadged, I honestly worked for 5 months with my factory to build a fridge from the ground up. Yes the design had been based on other popular fridges but the attention to detail is what makes the KickAss difference. There are lots of similar looking fridges in the market but when you look closely you will see there is actually a massive difference as I have not designed the fridge to be cheap I designed it the way I wanted it to be if I was buying one so the attention to detail better quality and stainless everything, Anderson plugs, Bluetooth App, split cover lid etc. I am in California and it's my first time in the USA (love it) My son and I just went to Yosemite and Sequoia Park and did not see anybody using compressor fridges so I'm curious if there is a market in the USA. When I went to the shop to get a drink there were three people that came in looking for ice and they were sold out so I guess there is a market. KickAss is the only brand that does the whole package, Fridges, Solar, Portable Dual Battery Systems that charge from the vehicles alternator. I would love feedback from anyone as to what products USA campers would like to see here. If you were keen to help you could visit my website Australian Direct and give me some feedback. Thanks.
