Taken right after changing out a flat tire

About that flat... I see you're running the Falkens, how to you like them so far. I run the MT's which have been great but they are heavy! I was thinking of upgrading the stock rubber on my wife's Taco and the AT3W were on the list.

So far I like them a lot! These tires are not that much heaver than the stock Dunlops that came on the 4Runner. When I first went offroading on them the ATRAC was disengaged and I noticed no traction problems on the terrain I crossed. Since they were brand new there was little tread hum while on pavement so I'll have to see how they do after 10k miles or more. I had lots of gear loaded as usual so I had them aired up into the low 40 pound range and had no problems. My ScanGuage 2 can monitor tire pressure and temp and I saw no disparities.

The flat tire had to have been my fault as I gashed the sidewall of the one tire pretty badly yet don't know how I missed the trailer tire or other truck tire. Chalk it up to carelessness.

I found that in a pinch I can use one of my trailer tires on 16" Toyota rims on the rear wheels of the 4Runner. The front wheel disk brakes and caliper are too big for anything less than 17" rims.
