My first post on this site.

Our weekend short trip around the WA Olympic peninsula. Lots of rain and wind with one day of sunshine on Monday.

How much snow is out there?

Oops ..I passed right over the snow question . My bad ..there is zero snow at sea level this time of year. I’m sure it could be found of one travelled far enough on the switch back logging roads.

Depends on how much time you have ...Tons of stuff to see ..I found quite a few open gates along the way for exploring into the national and state parks, there were signs for a pass needed however(but nothing that said no overnighting) . If you just want to see beaches and coastline there are a few spots to explore down the 101 and plenty of places to camp in a camp ground.
The city of port Townsend and fort warden are very cool to visit if you just want a short trip from Seattle . Crecent lake is along the way to the coast and has camping . Forks is a don’t blink and you will miss it. We ended up at ocean shores for a night and day. There is a campground just off the beach . Unfortunately overnighting is no longer allowed on the beach , but you can drive out there during the open hours and BBQ and fly your kite .
