Been wanting to do this for a long time where I can print this out.
I have also cut way back on the items that I take.
One big item that will be more than likely stay home is the Cabelas picnic table.
I can use the new Slumberjack table I bought to hold the chuckbox to eat at.

This sounds like a lot, but a lot of packs into the ECS cases, and surprisingly the FJ Cruiser can hold a lot if you pack right.

Hey, I've created an android app to help organize gear like this. It's called "My Gear Pack", free in Google Play. I just released it last month but I'm adding features weekly. I'm a full time engineer and this was just a project so that I could get my own stuff organized better but I figured it could be useful to other. It's a little rough around the edges so please go easy on me.

Search for "My Gear Pack" in google play, it has a picture of a mountain because I am awful at photoshop and I don't have any money to pay an artist.

Let me know what you think, I'm a long time lurker and have a lot of respect for the experience of Expedition Portal's members.

I've put up my gear lists in the app (they are shared in the Gear Pack Library), but they are pretty meager because I just do some weekend trips in a jeep.

Sweet, any chance of making an iPhone app?

My list is pretty simple. I opt to pack light and use the natural resources in the field.

-fire steel
-flint and steel kit
-titanium canteen and cup
-1qt stainless cook pot
-Lifestraw and/or 2% iodine depending on destination
-hammock/tarp/underquilt
-sleeping bag or poncho liner
-IFAK
-spork
-small LED flashlight
-50' 550 cord
-small HB-pattern axe or bow saw
-puukko knife
-wool shirt
-SAS smock
-food
-change of socks, T-shirt, and underwear
-toiletry kit

It all fits in a M1943 USGI Mountain Rucksack or Frost River Isle Royale Jr. with room to spare!!

I know this is old, But they have a great app for that, I keep it on my Iphone

New on my list of equipment, although this should probably be in the category of tools: one laminated instruction sheet, extra large print, for tying 12 common knots.

I think among the most frustrating of my Basic Holes in Knowledge is how to tie, from memory, a few basic knots. Until I'm able to think through how the knot works and can remember how to tie it, a cheat sheet would be right up there with matches in terms of utility.

I just made this list using Scott Brady's example and stuff that pertaines just to me. I've been wanting to make this for a while and I'm excited I finally have it.

Sorry I tried to see if the link would work but this code writer keeps popping up. I just tried copying and paste but since it's an excel document everything was all jumbled. let me know if you know how to attach an excel document on here.
