Awesome rack, and I love the high top! :Wow1:

As an FYI, the gussets covering the solar panels will likely reduce output noticeably. The shading may drop the output of 1 string (25% of the output) to almost zero. You probably already knew that, but just in case.

Yea I just emailed the solar supplier to get his opinion. Worst case, we swap the corners.

OOOOOOOOOHHH YES, that is sexy. Is this for Alpha Van by chance? If so are you performing the install including the surgery on the roof? I also had a question regarding the wiring for the lights, how is the wiring usually routed? Drill and seal on the roof?

The 5.4 from MO had a bit of rust, its super low miles so we cleaned and undercoated the entire body and painted the chassis as we always do.

You clean and undercoat the body and paint the chassis on all your conversions?

Not for Alpha but it has the same rack. No flooring (yet...., maybe) We are completing the install. We hide all of the light wiring inside the extrusions and then go thru the solar box to route them. Inside depends on the final installer (SMB in this case) but we're running all of the rack lights on this rig to a 2nd sPOD under the D seat.

Not all of them. We always clean and paint the frame and axles, undercoating depends on the van. The newer the better to minimize clean & prep.

Do you know what the specs on that rear window are? (size, Contour/non contour)

I don't, sorry.

Lots of good stuff going down at the shop. Several mega builds all happening at the same time, fun to orchestrate.

The NY V10 is nearing completion and will be headed home before the full SMB interior build. Needs a good cleaning and some miles, little bit of wiring. I'll post more pics and a full spec sheet soon.

We've only done one, years ago and it used a spacer plus the wheel that was a 19.5. I'm not a big fan of doing it and almost all 450s we do are RVs that need to stay DRW. Biggest issue is a tire that has the correct load capacity in SRW form and there aren't a ton of options unless you go to 19.5s and they have too much capacity, killing ride quality and adding a ton of extra weight.
