The 100 Series Land Cruiser has served as an excellent platform, for many overlanders and off-roaders alike, by providing a fantastic balance of reliability, and comfort. It's no slouch when it comes to capability either. Ample power, respectable clearance, and of course renowned Toyota durability, have made it a favorite among travelers and helped it earn the number one spot on the list of Top 10 Used Overland Vehicles by Scott Brady. Sure it lacks some of the stock capability of other vehicles such as the Jeep Rubicon or even the 80 series, but after some well-chosen modifications these wonderful cruisers can take you just about anywhere you want to go. But unlike most 4WD's they will do so in total comfort while delivering superior handling and ride quality on the road. If you've been in the market for one of these excellent trucks, take a look at this thoroughly modified, and practically unused, 100 Series.
With just 84,000 original miles, this 2001 Land Cruiser has been driven sparingly throughout its life and remains in excellent condition. Upon first glance it's obvious the truck received a lot of attention when it came to off road preparation. It is adorned with an ARB Deluxe Safari Bar with IPF fog lights and an additional set of PIAA off road lights. The rear has been protected as well with a Slee off road bumper equipped with the single swing arm spare tire carrier. For delivery of fresh and clean air to this trucks V8, an ARB Safari Snorkel and a K&N air filter have been equipped for top performance in even the worst of conditions. To support the added weight of the bumpers and any cargo you may wish to carry, the owner lifted the truck 3" with heavy duty Old Man Emu springs. In turn this allowed them to mount a set of five 33" Nitto Terra Grapplers mounted on factory 18" rims which gives it a more aggressive look and improved off road traction. Amazingly with all these modifications the owner states that he "never ended up wanting to wheel it because it was so clean". While it does have some typical wear and tear, the truck appears to be in great shape and has many more miles left for whatever adventure you have in store.
Here's a look at what the seller has to say:
