Rigid Industries: 10 Inch Combo Light Bar

If you attended the SEMA show last November, you know it was the year of the light bar. It would seem no vehicle is complete without at least one light bar, with a few trucks at the show wearing as many as 500+ LED lights. For those of us who tend to fall into the “less is more” category, there were a few new products of interest. In particular, the E2 10 inch Combo LED light from Rigid Industries. One of the inherent challenges with LED light systems, especially those packed into a lean rectangular light bar, is getting the desired light pattern. If the beam is too narrow, you compromise peripheral illumination. Too wide and you don’t get the distance needed to travel at higher speeds. The Combo presents a smart solution with two different banks of LEDs in one light to provide both spot and flood light patterns.

Unique to the Combo system of light bars, the outer LEDs and reflectors create a brilliant 20 degree flood pattern and the central LEDs emit a retina searing 10 degree spot beam with total output nearing the 7,000 Lumen mark. An unbreakable Lexan lens protects the LEDs and a 6061 aluminum extruded case houses the delicate components within. Sealed for IP68 rated waterproofness, all of the new E-Series lights now feature improved mounting brackets and a refined wiring harness for easy installation and routing of the wires. Other refined touches include a waterproof GoreTex membrane port to equalize internal pressure. The LEDs have a 50,000 hour life span and as we would expect of Rigid Industries, the quality of the materials and precision of the construction are second to none. For those with highly specific lighting needs, the two banks of LEDs can even be wired independently so users can toggle between spot and flood beams as desired. Available in lengths up to 50 inches, there is a Combo system for every application. The light bar continues to evolve and Rigid Industries leads the way.
