Toyota Cruisers & Trucks Magazine: Sharing our passion for Toyota Vehicles
By Shane Williams, Publisher, TCT Magazine
The road to creating Toyota Cruisers & Trucks (TCT) Magazine actually started long before I owned a Toyota vehicle. Growing up in Michigan, Toyota vehicles were somewhat taboo, so when I moved to Colorado as a US Air Force member, like many others my first 4x4 was a Jeep. I actually ended up owning three Jeep XJs (an ’87, ’91, and ’01) over the years.
In 2006 when I returned from a USAF Reserves deployment, my new bride inquired about that unique looking Toyota SUV with 3 windshield wipers. It was August and our neighbors down the street were one of the first in town to purchase the eagerly anticipated FJ Cruiser. Of course I’d known about the FJC since it was announced as a production vehicle, but never thought Angie would be interested in a 4x4 meant more for tough trails than creature comforts.
