The FJ60 posted here and on eBay has a 4speed with a "fluid return hose", pardon my ignorance, but what is a "fluid return hose". Well obviously it's a "fluid return hose", you know what I mean...

Methinks that it is one of those things to "fix" a bad seal between the tranny and transfer case.

Would that help equilize the pressure in the two cases. They are vented I think.

The T-case has a vent, the transmission vents through the shift lever opening.
There are no pumps in the t-case or transmission, just oil slingers. The t-case gets hotter than the transmission and pushes oil into the tranny when the seal fails. The $OR fix is a rip off, you can fab the same thing for about $10 in parts. Just get a couple of fill plugs, drill and tap them for a 90° male hose barb, add a section of fuel line and a couple of hose clamps. Voila! It is commonly stated that this is not a long term solution, however I have heard of people running this "Fix" for years. I did it on my FJ60 and plan to run it until I need to replace the clutch or upgrade the transmission to an H55 or H41.
