That is the kickstand (I think that is what you are referring to) No kickstarter, E-Start only. The 2008 KTM SX's are that way.

The 'Bergs now, do have the kickstarter on the left...just a different way of doing things. If I remember, the old Cagiva's were on the left also. Plus the KTM 640.

That is either wiring harness coming off the stator or the hydraulic line going to the slave cyclinder for the clutch.

FE models from '00 and up had E-start anyway.

Plastic subframe? With the way I ride (fall) that thing will go crack in about 15 minutes. EFI will be nice though.
