...Something doesn't sit right with me when someone joins a forum just to sell a vehicle. Especially a vehicle like this, with low miles, for a low price. Just doesn't sit right with me....

In reply to the PM's I have recieved on this thread, yes the poster has this posted on lots of other forums (google search results (http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&q=Lutosus+discovery)) Lutosus is complying with the forum rules as stated below:
Here are the rules for posting something for sale on Expedition Portal
1. Must be expedition related, or equipment used in support of an expedition or adventure. For example, the advertising on land for sale would not be appropriate, but a kayak would be.
Check
2. Must include the physical location of the item, i.e- Prescott, Arizona, USA
Check -- Las Vegas, NV
3. Must include a complete description of the item, including the asking price
Check
4. Must include any known defects or concerns on the items (this is a critical point, as you are selling an item to someone who will likely use it in a remote location, and their safety may depend on it)
Seems like it has no problems... correct? Based upon the PM's I have recieved on this it might be wise to elaborate on the known defects or concerns a member might have if they were to purchase this vehicle.
5. Negotiations and personal information should be exchanged via email or PM, not in the thread.
N/A
6. Please remove the update the thread after it has sold so the moderator can remove it.
Not quite there yet...
However Lutosus, it would be nice for you to introduce yourself in our General Discussion folder (http://expeditionportal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=17) of the forum since this appears to be your first post on ExPo trying to sell your Disco.
Good luck with the sale. Looks like you have lots of ads out there for it.

Just a little house keeping was done on this thread and a small reminder is needed for all the members that had posts deleted. The rules are simple and can be found here (http://expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2), the below quote is directly from the rules.
General guidelines, forum members:
1. This site is intended for all makes and models of expedition vehicles, which includes Mtn. Bikes, SUV's, Motorcycles, etc.
2. People buy different vehicles because they meet their needs and appearances. There is NO BEST VEHICLE for everything, and to say so is silly. Comments in fun about another persons vehicle choice is fine, but to flame a member because they chose a vehicle you wouldn't buy is poor form.
3. Flaming is IMMEDIATELY moderated, and inappropriate. Fortunately we have very little issue with this. Spirited and intelligent debate is encouraged. If you enjoy flame wars, that is fine, just do it on a forum that supports it. :)
4. This is a family site, with members of many ages, religions, genders, etc. Show respect, and please try to keep the content PG.
5. Political and religious discussions are ok in the general forum, but the debate must be respectful and avoid all personal attacks.
6. NO NEGATIVE RACIAL DISCUSSION OR COMMENTS are allowed (even if the post is not intended as such), and will be immediately moderated.
There is information on this vehicle at other forums (discoweb, EE, ect..) and each one has turned into bashing the owner and his vehicle. ExPo will not stray in the way of other forums. People build up different vehicles because they meet their needs and appearances, and it suits them. How the modifications were done and installed were at the choice of the owner, and it is up the buyer to decide if it also suits their needs.
I do encourage posting up questions, and Lutosus posting up replies to answer the questions. Lets keep this clean, honest, and no hitting below the belt. :sport_box

Man you were getting a beating in the other forum you posted your truck for sale on... Not Cool!!! I want to respond to them soooo bad!!!!! However, I will bite my tongue, as much as the Marine in me doesn't want to....
We all build what we like, if I had the money, I would have one of everything...:wings:
I like it by the way, not something you see every day...

I'm not sure why my post was deleted...I was asking why the rear suspension seems lower in the back...
Is it lifted higher in the front on purpose? Loaded with weight in back?

Nothing a 1" spacer couldn't solve. I had to do it on my DI with 4 kids and gear.

CodyLX450,
Are you referring to the driveway picture? If so, Then it might seem like the rear is lower because of the slanted driveway. The Truck has 5" springs front and rear with 1" spring spacers front and rear. In the driveway pictures the truck had nothing to weigh it down. In the camping/offroading pictures, I had camping equipment in the back of the truck.

...Any Offers?!?
I think selling your D2 to this group will be somewhat of a challenge.
Adding 37" tires to the stock DII drivetrain greatly affects durability, safety (emergency handling, excessive caster and stopping) and long distance driveability. No doubt a fun truck to drive around town, but not functional for expedition or trail use. The truck might work ok as an Arctic Truck platform as is, but Disco's are not light ;)
Your best option is to remove the large tires and spacers and install a 285/75 or similar tire. It will make the vehicle more appealing and reasonable.
I just feel it is important for me to note this to our members due to what I believe are significant safety issues. :(

Very nice rig!
quick questions;sorry, not very knowledgeable on Disco IIs. Might help out others.
-4.6 engine?
-CDL mod or not possible with this Tcase (no CDL nipple)
-4.56 (didn't know LR had this particular ratio!)
-watts linkage mod done for this lift?
-warranty left? If so, how much/long?
-Traction Control works ok?
Thanks and good luck.
