I bought one of these recently; they're 90% M.A.N but have some VW touches where it counts - in the cab mostly.
In size they're comparable with a 1300 Mog, but lacking the Mog cachet are a lot less expensive as well as being simpler or more conventional in design; maybe like a Canter/Fuso. Full story and driving impressions from the Sahara at the link below if you're interested.
It's a great 'cab over' resource I've stumbles over here btw - handy for those who don't read German! Been following the many ideas in the "My camper ideas, thoughts, and plans...." which may be where we're heading with the M.A.N.
