Also installed my new-to-me Big Daddy Tie Rod

And some 2" Wheel Spacers

Gotta say that I've been REALLY happy with the new ride on road. I wasn't too sure about the 2" spacers but am happy with the added stability. With the stock Moabs I am at the equivalent of 3" BS now. Now I need to flex her out so that I can measure for bumpstops. I really can't wait to get her on the trail and try out the added clearance and width :chowtime: Let me know what you guys think.......

Make sure you re-torque those spacers. You might even want to Locktite or double nut them.

I put a set of them on my K5 and torqued them with a a recently calibrated torque wrench. About 60 miles later after a mild trail ride I was on my way home running 65mph on 35's when a wheel decided to come off. :smileeek:

The short story is the wheel crossed a median everybody on the other side managed to dodge it. About a 1/4 mile up the road the 90 lb wheel assembly hit the side of a ford ranger in the door and did $2200 in damage to the guys truck. :(

Thanks for the heads up. I did alot of research before I bought and installed them. I torqued them to 120 ft/lbs then drove it for 10 miles, came back and re-torqued everything again. I plan on pulling the wheels off again this weekend and re-checking everything. If they are still tight then I will just start checking them every 3k miles with the tire rotations.
