OK that's sweet. Won't fit in the garage, but hey it would look cool parked out front.

You might be right. I didn't see any mention of a 4wd conversion. Usually that is one of the first things listed. I can't imagine why you would spend that kind of money lifting and outfitting the thing without first spending the money on a conversion. But people do odd things.

Seeing this makes me think of the A-Team. Then I imagine how much more butt they could have kicked with a 4wd van. :ar15:
I'm done hijacking now....

He did mention installing 4.10 gears, might be 4wd. Would be worth a call for anyone interested. Looks like it could be 4wd, that's for sure.
Edit: He say's "...a 4.10 gears" somewhat ambiguous. Yea, you would think he would mention it if it was 4x4, since he is trying to sell it. He does call it the 'Hummer van' however.....

I called on it. The front axle and transfer case are installed, but he doesn't have anything hooked up because he "likes the gas mileage" the way it is.
A gentleman with a heavy spanish accent, so I had a hard time understanding him - but that's what I got from the conversation.

If anyone is seriously interested in it I am in Scottsdale everyday and I speak spanish so I could take a look at it.

Is there a winch on there too? Looks like there is, but those photos are garbage quality on CL.
Any info on the title from your conversation?
Anyone able to spot the model year?

Sounds a little fishy to me, no year, no mileage, pictures are over 2 years old and whats with the XO cage on the sides of the roof meant to do? We have a 03 and 04 2500 vans both have 4.10 from the factory with small V8's and have never seen 15-17 mpg anytime or even close.

Could very well be "fishy". I know I was confident of nothing after talking to him.

"THE VAN ITS A VENTURA GMC 2500 MODEL"
GMC sold the Vandura van up until 1996. More recent
GMC vans are called the Savanna. Don't know about
the Ventura.
Strangely, I think this van could be a lot of fun!

My thought exactly. I just got an '03 Astro van and it is taking all my willpower not to get out the black, silver and red paint.
Then again, for not much more money than the Scottsdale van, you could do this:

As the poster said, "I love it when a (tiny) van comes together." :)

If memory serves, I believe that Ventura was a van conversion company. They added the high cube roofs, velour interior, second row capts chairs, the 12" TV in a maple wood console, window blinds, a back seat that dropped back to make a bed, etc.
If my memory doesn't serve (highly likely), perhaps the seller meant it was a Chevy Venture van, an easy typo mistake.

I talked to the owner of this van today, his name is Octovio and actually very friendly and somewhat knowledgable of what work has been done to his van. His brother owns a custom repair/fab shop and has done most of the work on this van, the roof rack, sliders and winch bumper have all been custom made here locally at a fab shop.
Here is what I was able to learn about this van.
1995 GMC
TBI 350 110K miles, passes emissions no problem
700r4 transmission recently rebuilt with approx 10k miles
12 bolt rear axle with posi
front is a 10 bolt open with locking hubs
inlcudes a np205 transfer case but it will need a adapter and some fab work to bolt in.
has a 9k lb costco winch
sliders, rack, bumper all have been covered with linex
5 new tires with matching rims
Interior has been completeing redone
has a 20 " flatscreen
2 capt. chairs
seats in rear fold into a bed
This van was built to haul toys to the dunes and 4 wheel drive was never needed with the posi rear, he mentioned that a 4wheel drive transmission would be needed to bolt up the transfer case and since the current transmission has low miles he didn't have a urgent need to continue the build up. This is a very nice setup and I am sure he would take less then $10 cash, I have been seriously considering it for myself but I dont want a loan payment right now. in all honesty this is a really cool van even without 4wheel drive and a awesome project.
