$50,000 USD is 34,000 Euro. In 2006, this vehicle was advertised on other adventure travel web sites for 60,000, then 55,000, and finally 50,000 Euro. (Search for "ritosdepassagem@yahoo.com" to see details.) So it appears that the seller is motivated.

Hi, I think I seen this truck in person in Cusco Peru last year while I was driving around there.

Do you have any plans for if you don't find someone with the cash to buy the MAN, my wife & I are looking for a Overland Truck for our own use but have a 3 bed penthouse in Spain for sale that is valued between 130,000 & 140,000 euros.

If you are ever looking for a place to live in Spain and have the truck to trade against it we could be very interested.

I think it's 25+ into the U.S.

I'm sure they have to meet other safety regulations also, but i don't think they are very strict...

Okay ... but on what? I can buy a new vehicle, say a Volvo or a BMW, and have it shipped here hassle free.

No, I don't think you can. I think you can buy a built-for-export-to-the-US version, but if it don't got the EPA compliant sticker and the NHTSA clearance, it won't be registerable. At least as far as I know.

The Volvo or BMW you take European delivery on will be an EPA/DOT/NHTSA-compliant model, same as they ship to your local dealer. With the exception of a few models where "registered importers" do approved conversions that meet the requirements, there are very few ways to get a non-US-certified vehicle less than 25 years old into the U.S. for street use. (Agricultural, racing, museum, research, etc. exemptions are around but not practical for a vehicle driven regularly.)
