I think this truck has a great potential as a future expedition truck: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1-Owner-Quigley-4X4-Diesel-Ambulance-in-NJ-BUY-IT-NOW_W0QQitemZ160221598758QQihZ006QQcategoryZ63735Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Nice find! Thanks.

Kind of odd that a commercial vehicle built in 1996 would have only 131,000 miles. That's less than 12,000 miles a year! I'd guess ambulances would be driven more often.

Forum member Adam Steele converted a retired ambulance and used it for a two month trip to Central America with his father. I'm sure Adam could provide useful advice to help convert a truck like this

Here's the thread about Adam's trip
http://expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9995

and here's Adam's web log about the trip
http://www.meetingourneighbors.com/

The early entries in the log show how Adam converted the ambulance.
