I've owned the truck for the last 2 years and don't have the time to use it as it should be used. Jonathan Ward performed a major rebuild in 2004 with all new components and very few miles since then (130,000 current miles). This would be a perfect long range travel truck, stable, dependable and comfortable, tons of great features.
Highlights include:
5.7 L Vortec V8
NV 4500 5 speed with stock transfer case
Rare factory cable lockers front and back
Rear full floating diff
Front axle totally rebuilt
42 gallon gas tank
Full OME suspension
lots more
Please email for full list of upgrades and photos: please use email for contact as I'm not here much. It was just smogged. Serviced at Four Oaks in Santa Monica and TLC in Van Niuys.
Email: david_woo at gensler dot com.
The truck is in west LA, feel free to stop and see it.
Asking price: $43,900. If not sold soon, it goes to TLC on consignment. Get it now!!
Thanks EXPO!!

David,
That is a prime specimen of the FJ-60 :safari-rig: . I will forward it to my customer base in FL. Let you know if I get any interest.

Make sure you tell them it's a 62, not a 60...
Nice LC.

The Landcruiser does have my name on it. But it would have to be someone else's name on the check for it to clear.
Shame......

It is a beast of a truck: if you know Jonathan's work, you'll know that every inch has been updated and to a very high standard. It's gonna take a special person to appreciate the truck and want to own it: I've enjoyed every minute but it's time to move on.
Building this truck today would cost TLC double what I'm asking.

I have never met David but I have seen this truck in person and it is awesome. I drive a newly painted brown FJ60 and you live between me an the Counter. :D Nice rig, sorry to see you letting it go.

Sweet truck!
Any idea the source of the seats?
They look really nice, and comfy...unlike mine that look nice and un-comfy.
I saw a similar condition and price FJ60 in the Dupont Registry awhile ago, so maybe that would be an option in search of a buyer.
Good luck with the sale

the front seats are BMW manual seats which are often used in TLC trucks. The rear is the stock rear bench with new foam pads.
All have the new german vinyl upholstery.

ps: Sloan: thanks for the well wishes: if you see me at the house, stop by for a closer look.

If it goes on consignment at TLC it will go for that price. Hey Dave, how do you like the cable lockers, what sort of mpg are you getting and whose aux. tank do you have and do you like it?

The cable lockers work great, I've used them a few times in Anza Borrego and the truck locked right up and the extra traction was awesome.
As for mileage, I have no idea, I don't really check. It get filled every 5 to 6 weeks.
The tank is a custom model by some company in AU, can't remember the name. Having the extra capacity is a great thing on long trips.
