Hi guys

I'm new here. My name is Paul, I live in Vancouver BC and recently purchased a 1987 EX BW 1300L. It has the OM 366A motor and fast axles. This is my second Mog, the first one was a 1961, 404.

The reason for the 1300l is my 'need' for an expedition camper.

I will be building the camper from scratch and I expect it will take about a year. The only thing I have finalized is the pop top vs solid box construction. It will be a pop top sort of like an Alaskan or a Unicat type setup. Any hints and tips would be appreciated

Welcome to the ExPo. There are a couple guys working on raised roof system rigs. There are also a number of older threads on pop top rigs based on the fuso FG. There may be common design issues folks can help you with. Keep us posted on your progress.

Although I'm headed down a different road with a solid box sharing other information is always helpful. This sight is great for hooking up with expedition builders/owners. If I can help in any way I'd gladly share sources and what knowledge gained so far.
