Here's the truck to use on your classic American road trip, this recently restored 1956 Chevy Suburban isn't only rare; it's seriously cool. Fitted with a NAPCO Industries 4WD system, you'll be able to go a lot further down the trail then you would with the standard 2WD system. We're seriously envious of this truck at Expedition Portal, It could make a nice addition to the stable.

Here's what the seller had to say about the vehicle:
"This 1956 Chevrolet Suburban Carryall represents yet another rare find from Legacy Classic Trucks. The Model 3116 Suburban Carryall is in perfect show condition, sports an impressive NAPCO 4-wheel drive for trips on- and off-road, and has one of the finest interiors we've seen in a vintage automobile
The '56 Suburban sports a horizontal tail- and lift-gate at one end of its 114 inch wheelbase, along with Chevrolet’s optional ‘ultra-modern’ short stroke V-8 at the other. With a height of over 7 feet tall and a GVW of 5,000 lbs, this vintage '56 Suburban is capable of carrying up to 1,200 lbs of cargo.
In 1956, the dealer installed the original NAPCO Industries 4-WD ‘PowerPak,’ which was not available as a factory option until 1957 (and then only on the standard-equipped 6-cylinder models). Combine the 4-wheel NAPCO power with a 4-speed floor-mounted stick and the Suburban can pull just about anything.
The showroom quality of the '56 Suburban also extends to its interior. The steering wheel, dash, gauges, controls, and 4-WD operating decals all look as though the Carryall just came off the production line. Drivers also enjoy a double bench seat and a single, front-folding passenger seat that allows easy access to a second bench for three. A third bench seat is not included, but can be installed.
The 1956 Suburban Carryall also wears its original ’56 Chevy colors on a 2010 repaint, which was applied against bare metal. With absolutely no rust, scratches, scars or any other signs of wear, this '56 Chevrolet Suburban is a collector's dream."
